Strides for Peace launched the Race for Peace in 2014 to bring everyone–runners, business leaders, community organizations, law enforcement, and YOUTH–together to show the world that despite the headlines, Chicago can come together to solve the problem of gun violence and save lives. Our Race for Peace is the rallying point to raise funds, friends, and awareness about what is being done to reduce gun violence and build futures for Chicago’s youth. It is an evening to celebrate and support the life-changing work of Strides for Peace’s Community Partners and provide a platform for people who care about reducing gun violence in Chicago to connect and get involved.
