Many small businesses and organizations find themselves seeking the right strategies, tools and tactics to make their marketing efforts as effective as possible. But between Facebook and Twitter, email and mobile, deals, and whatever new social network is rolling out that month—there’s a lot to keep up with and there are only so many hours in each day. The number of possibilities can feel overwhelming. This session will help make sense of the noise. Today we’re going to show you how to make the most of the combination of email and social media for your business. When the session is done you’ll have a greater understanding of marketing basics like goals and objectives. You’ll learn what a “campaign” is and what to write about and offer in that campaign. You’ll be given some simple but powerful tips for how to get your messages opened and read, shared and socially visible. You’ll see that there are some great tools you can use to help engage with your existing customers and supporters as well as expand your reach to new prospects. Throughout the session you’ll be given opportunities to capture your own ideas and build out the framework of your own“ next great campaign.”

We are back for our 5th year of the Avondale Restaurant Crawl!

Join Northwest Arts Connection and Avondale Neighborhood Association as we celebrate culinary delights along the Eastern end of Avondale! New Orleans jazz style Four Star Brass Band will kick off festivities parading happy, hungry tasters along the crawl route. Those who would rather ride from restaurant to restaurant can choose to hop on and off the Travelin’ Trolley which features the irresistible music of Marianne; The Imaginary Band. Rain or shine! If it rains, that party-on-a-trolley will be especially fun!

The crawl will feature some of our beloved favorites including BrewBrew Coffee & Tea, Chief O'Neill's, Honey Butter Fried Chicken, Kuma's Corner, Parachute, Fruit Paradise & Taqueria Traspasada. NEW this year: DMen Tap, Dell Cove, La Farine Bakery, Mirabella, Paletas Arco Iris, Red Apple, and Pisolino's -- each unique in culinary style but similar in passion.

Local performers will be woven throughout the crawl experience. This year we welcome 9 time CMA Award Winning artist and Chicago legend Stann Champion, dancer/choreographer Ginger Jensen, a special performance from music school UpBeat Music and Arts, garage folk band Rent Party, and the vocal stylings of Noah Arroyo.
