The concepts and application of basic accounting principles as utilized to measure the success of any business. This workshop will discuss the fundamentals of Financial and Managerial Accounting.

Financial topics covered will include: Types of accounting method, Chart of Accounts, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Entries to the financial statements. Managerial topics covered will include: Product/Job Costing, Cash Flow Projections, Net Present Value, Making decisions based on limited resources, Pricing decisions, Breakeven analysis, Business ratios, Other relevant topics.

The Illinois SBDC at UIC invites you to Venture Start, a comprehensive introduction to starting a business. Participants will learn the necessary steps to start a business, what resources are available, and how the Illinois SBDC at UIC can help. Meet our entrepreneurship experts for your opportunity to get your business off the ground and running.

This will be Part 1 of a series of 4 workshops. We encourage you to attend all 4 sessions to gain maximum value from this series as the workshops will build on each other. Please RSVP for each of the 4 parts you intend to attend.
