You and your neighbors can make an immediate difference in your community by volunteering for Chicago's citywide day of service. Clean and Green is a great opportunity for residents, school groups and community organizations to team up and beautify areas in their neighborhood. The City will provide the brooms, rakes, shovels and bags needed for clean-up projects.

Call 311 to register. Deadline to register is April 16th.

On Saturday, April 21, 10-am-2pm, the Friends of the Logan Square Library are hosting an Earth Day Clean & Green at the Logan Square Library.

We'll be cleaning up the library grounds, we'll have local Master Gardener and radio host, Mike Nowak on site to answer your gardening FAQs, we'll have resources available to check out at the library, we'll have seeds to take home to start your own garden and we'll have some plants available to swap!

This event is free and for all ages.

The goal of the silent auction fundraiser is to support efforts that improve the lives of all Brentano students. Whether it’s new books for the library or replacing outdated gym equipment, Friends of Brentano works closely with the administration throughout the year to determine need and make a lasting impact.

The 14th District Court Advocacy Subcommittee consists of district residents, community groups, members of the business community and Chicago Police Officers. Through the court advocacy program we are able to identify court cases that negatively affect the community. We attend court as a team to let crime victims know that the are not alone.

All members must undergo a name check and background clearance.

Enjoy a unique night of sips, nibbles and community love while helping LoganSquarist raise money to cover our operating costs. This year, we turn seven with a ’60s-style carnivale! We can’t wait to celebrate another year with you. Additionally, 5 percent of the night’s proceeds will be donated to One Tail at a Time. The night will include a cocktails, light snacks, silent auction, raffle, photo booth and music.
