Holstein Park has a field house with a stained glass dome in the auditorium, baseball diamond, outdoor Olympic size pool, a new playground, and a lovely little walking, sit down and enjoy section. And this year our field house will be getting a renovation.

The first-ever timed run on The Bloomingdale Trail kicks off a day of festivities at The 606. Register now to be a part of history and to contribute to future public programming on The Bloomingdale Trail and at The 606.

The run is a timed event that goes through the heart of The 606. Runners will leave from Walsh Park (1722 N. Ashland) and finish at the western trailhead at Ridgeway Avenue (3700 West) near the McCormick YMCA. Total distance is 4.3 kilometers or 2.7 miles. The trail will be closed to all other users while the run is being conducted.

At the conclusion of the race, participants are encouraged to make their way to The 606 Block Party on Humboldt Boulevard for a Pancake Breakfast and to enjoy the day’s festivities.
