The Small Business Improvement Fund or SBIF is a City of Chicago grant program available to commercial and industrial businesses. SBIF grants are intended to help small business owners renovate, expand or start-up businesses along commercial and industrial corridors in Chicago. Small business owners and property owners that lease to businesses in the Fullerton/Milwaukee SBIF district can receive reimbursement grants of up to $100,000.00 for commercial projects to cover the cost of eligible remodeling work.

This event is hosted by 1st Ward Ald. Joe Moreno, 26th Ward Ald. Roberto Maldonado, 30th Ward Ald. Ariel Reboyras, 31st Ward Ald. Milly Santiago, 32nd Ward Alc. Scott Waguespack and 35th Ward Ald. Carlos Ramirez-Rosa. Program information will be presented by Jake Stern and Joe Lewis of Somercor.

The 30 day SBIF Application Period for the Fullerton/Milwaukee TIF will be open from June 6, 2018 to July 9, 2018 at 5:00 pm.

The 14th District Court Advocacy Subcommittee consists of district residents, community groups, members of the business community and Chicago Police Officers. Through the court advocacy program we are able to identify court cases that negatively affect the community. We attend court as a team to let crime victims know that the are not alone.

All members must undergo a name check and background clearance.

MRC 2616 Milwaukee LLC and LG Development seek a zoning map amendment for 2618 N Milwaukee Av. “Grace’s Furniture Building” from zoning district B3-2 to zoning district B3-5. The purpose of the change is to allow for the redevelopment of the existing building for a hotel, with ground floor retail uses, a roof-top addition, and an outdoor seating area.

MRC 2616 Milwaukee LLC and LG Development will present information to 35th Ward residents on the zoning map amendment they seek. 35th Ward residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the proposed zoning map amendment. Our 35th Ward Alderman will use the input from this meeting to make a decision on the proposed zoning
map amendment.

We are an all volunteer organization that helps plan, staff and fund free family friendly events at Unity Park. In addition to helping organize events, we also help with upkeep and maintenance of the park's gardens. Our programming is only possible through the support of volunteers.
