This month, we will have a representative from the Linne Culinary Council speaking about the Linne School Culinary Arts Program. This program offers elementary students a unique experience in the full kitchen at the school, learn more at the meeting.

We will also have CTA community liaison, Maria-Teresa Roman, to talk about the upcoming Blue Line project and answer questions. Work is starting this summer and we hope to have answers to when and how at this meeting.

This is also our last meeting before signatures are due August 5th for the petition to bring a free Mental Health Center to the neighborhoods of Avondale, Logan Square, and Hermosa. Please come and sign the petition - or you can stop by Reed's Local or Brew Brew Coffee & Tea to sign there before August 1st. If you are able to help get signatures, please reach out to us or Michael at msnedeker@sveourmentalhealth.org.

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has proposed redesigning Milwaukee Avenue and the plaza around the Logan Square monument. We want to make sure these investments will benefit all residents without burdening any. A Racial Equity Impact Assessment in Logan Square can help with this analysis to avoid potential unintended consequences of improvements.
