It’s time to put on your smartypants and your thinking cap — the LoganSquarist Amazing Race is coming back this July! Solve clues all around Logan Square with your friends as you compete against others to cross the finish line first. The first team to solve all of the clues receives the title of LoganSquarist Amazing Race Winner!

With 12 teams of 2 to 4 people, competition will be fierce! Get ready to be tested, both physically and mentally, in order to walk away with medals and the Amazing Grand Prize! We encourage you to use bikes to compete!

See you at the finish line for the Celebration After Party where you will meet and mingle with fellow racers, and those who made the race happen.

Just bring a copy of your tax bill or assessment notice or something with your P.I.N. number. All residents of Chicago may file an appeal of their taxes also. Busy Beaver Button Museum and Chicago Brewseum are collaborating once again to bring back the 2nd annual Brews & Buttons of the Past, an informational event that will feature talks of the history of pre-prohibition Chicago breweries while you sip on your favorite brew.

The 14th District Court Advocacy Subcommittee consists of district residents, community groups, members of the business community and Chicago Police Officers. Through the court advocacy program we are able to identify court cases that negatively affect the community. We attend court as a team to let crime victims know that the are not alone.

Our shred/recycling events allow individuals to securely dispose of paper documents, cancelled checks, files and other papers that are no longer required for personal records. Computer equipment, cell phones MP3 players, stereo equipment, DVD players and digital cameras can be safely recycled.

Individuals may bring up to 25 lbs. of paper documents. Materials should be placed in paper bags or containers that can be returned to the owner as plastic bags cannot be put in the shredding trucks.

Proper destruction of confidential information is an important step in preventing identity theft, the fastest growing crime today.
