Liberty Bank For Savings

Protect your identity and safely dispose of confidential records.

For many years, Liberty Bank has been proud to offer FREE document shredding and electronic recycling days each year. Our shred/recycling events allow individuals to securely dispose of paper documents, cancelled checks, files and other papers that are no longer required for personal records. Computer equipment, cell phones MP3 players, stereo equipment, DVD players and digital cameras can be safely recycled.

Individuals may bring up to 25 lbs. of paper documents. Materials should be placed in paper bags or containers that can be returned to the owner as plastic bags cannot be put in the shredding trucks.

Proper destruction of confidential information is an important step in preventing identity theft, the fastest growing crime today.

End: 2:00 pm

Saturday, August 11th 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Woodard Plaza
2819 N. Milwaukee Av.

Woodard Plaza is the gateway to Avondale and one of our most visible assets. Unfortunately, the most visible thing about it these days is weeds and trash. It was given to us by the City with the provision that the community would take care of the maintenance. For a variety of reasons that never worked out so we're forming a new group to restore Woodard to its full potential. The first thing we need to do is weed. We're starting from scratch so if you have gardening tools, please bring them, as well as your own drinking water, hats, and snacks. Children welcome.

To make sure Woodard Plaza doesn't get away from us again, we are forming a group for on-going maintenance and programming, the Woodard Cultural Alliance.
If you want to become part of our merry band, please contact Lynn Basa, info@cornerchicago.com, 773-289-3616.
